Supporting Hamilton’s Music Community: Tune In at the 2026 City of Music Launch

Hamilton’s music community is built by the people who create, perform, teach and make space for others. In 2026, Tune In Foundation’s professional-development work was part of a city-wide moment recognizing that contribution.

A place in Hamilton’s music story

The opening of Punching In: The Work of Hamilton Music also marked the official launch of Hamilton’s 2026 City of Music campaign. Curated by the City of Hamilton’s Museums and Heritage team in collaboration with the local music industry, the exhibition celebrates the talent and labour behind the city’s music scene.

In its recap of the opening, Tourism Hamilton highlighted the introduction of two professional-development programs delivered by Canada’s Music Incubator and Tune In Foundation.

Recognition connected to opportunity

For Tune In, artist development means helping emerging creatives build skills, connect with mentors and find their next step. Being included in this celebration places that work within the wider story of Hamilton’s music community.

Music grows when artists have room to learn, relationships to draw on and opportunities to put their skills into practice. That is the work we continue through our programs and community connections.
